Isle of Wight County Schools is beginning the process of developing our long-range Capital Improvement Plan (CIP), and we want your input as we consider future needs for our schools and facilities.
The CIP identifies major, non-recurring infrastructure needs with an estimated cost of more than $50,000 and a service life of five years or longer. Community feedback is an important part of determining which projects should be considered priorities in the years ahead.
We invite you to participate in one of two Public Input Meetings:
Tuesday, September 22 | 6:00–7:00 p.m.
Smithfield High School Cafeteria
14171 Turner Drive, Smithfield
Wednesday, September 23 | 6:00–7:00 p.m.
Windsor High School Cafeteria
24 Church Street, Windsor
Community members are also encouraged to complete our CIP Survey to provide feedback on the projects currently being considered. The survey includes a brief explanation of each proposed project to help respondents understand the need it is intended to address.
The survey will close at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, September 25.
Find the survey at www.iwcs.k12.va.us.
Feedback gathered through the public meetings and survey will help inform a proposed draft of the long-range CIP, which will be shared with the community in the coming weeks for an additional opportunity to provide feedback.
Thank you for taking the time to participate.
