I am excited to announce some positive revisions to the Smithfield High School graduation ceremony. Because of the changes approved by the Governor beginning May 28, we will be able to hold one ceremony for all graduates beginning at 9:00 AM on June 12, 2021, in the stadium at SHS. This will allow the entire Senior class to assemble one final time as SHS students.
In addition, all guests who have been fully vaccinated will not be required to wear a mask. All other guests must wear a mask. Guests will be seated in the stadium stands and will not be distanced 6 feet apart.
Graduation practice will be Friday, June 11, at 9:00 AM for all seniors. The 6 tickets each senior will receive for graduation will be distributed at graduation practice.
These steps will allow us to provide our students with traditional graduation experience.
Thank you for your patience and support throughout this year. We look forward to seeing you on June 12 at 9:00 AM to celebrate the class of 2021.
