What is ASVAB and who should take it?

The ASVAB, Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery, is a test that measures abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success in the military as well as the civilian world. It is also a highly effective career exploration exam for those students not wishing to enter the military, but hoping to figure out the best career pathway available to them. This test is recommended for 11th and 12th grade students and there is no cost to take this test.

Test date and registration

  • The ASVAB will be given on Tuesday, December 7, and Thursday, December 9. Students MUST sign up for one of the dates by Friday, November 19. The test may take up to three hours.
  • Sign-ups will take place via a Google doc, which was sent to all 11th and 12th grade students on Thursday, November 4.
