Packer Marksmen place 4th in Brigade Best of Best Competition

The Smithfield High School Rifle Team competed on January 26th in the Army JROTC 4th Brigade Best of Best (BOB) competition. After qualifying 8th with a score of 1905, the team shot over 80 points higher with a score of 1989 and placed 4th. Senior Niya Young placed 4th overall among all novice shooters in the Brigade and Junior Caroline Lewton placed 11th among all veteran shooters in the Brigade. The Brigade consists of Army JROTC Programs ranging from Maryland down to South Carolina. The Packers are still the number one Army JROTC rifle team in Virginia. They will compete again at Camp Perry, OH, on February 11th and 12th in the Army Northeast Regionals. Best of luck to the Packer Marksmanship Team!
