Hello Parents, Guardians, and the Class of 2022……. The Senior Trips have been approved! Below you will find information to help you decide if you would like to participate.
Both trips are offered to all seniors. Both payments are due no later than Friday, April 8th. NO EXCEPTIONS! The purchase of tickets is time sensitive. You can pay with cash, check, or money order. Please make checks and money orders payable to Smithfield High School. If you have questions, please see Mrs. Mayes in room 25.
PAYMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED STARTING FEBRUARY 23.
King's Dominion: Cost $75
Friday, May 20, 2022 (Leaving SHS at 8 am)
Travel: Charter Bus (To and From)
Individual transportation cannot be used for safety and liability purposes.
Includes: All-You-Can-Eat and Drink Lunch (soda, juice, and water), access to the entire park
Dress: Comfortable, but school appropriate *Water park may be open*
King's Dominion Trip Itinerary:
7:00 am: Students meet here at SHS to check-in
7:45 am: Depart Smithfield High School
7:45 am – 9:45 am: Travel
10:00 am – 10:20 am: Arrive at Kings Dominion, Doswell, VA (Distribute tickets and wrist bands)
10:30 am – 1:00 pm: Students explore the park
1:00 – 2:00 pm: Catered lunch (Included in ticket price)
2:00 – 4:00 pm: Senior Activities sponsored by King's Dominion
4:05 – 4:10 pm: Student Check-In
5:50 pm: Seniors meet at the front entrance of park to check in to board the bus
6:15 pm: Leave King's Dominion
8:15 - 8:30 pm: Arrive at SHS

For KING'S DOMINION, we have 150 tickets available at this time. Additional tickets can be ordered only if paid by the due date. Tickets will be reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis if paid in full.
Spirit of Norfolk: Cost $70
Wednesday, June 1, 2022 (Leaving SHS at 5 pm)
Travel: School Bus (To and From)
Individual transportation cannot be used for safety and liability purposes.
Includes: All-You-Can-Eat and Drink (soda, juice, and water), souvenir cup and photo, dancing, games, etc.
Dress: Casual
Spirit of Norfolk Trip Itinerary:
5:00 pm: Students meet in front commons to check-In
5:30 pm: Leave Smithfield High School
5:30 – 6:15pm: Travel to Spirit Cruises, Norfolk VA
6:20 - 6:50 pm: Exit bus, distribute tickets, take picture, board the boat
7:00 – 9:00 pm: Cruise on the Elizabeth River
9:10 – 9:30 pm: Dock
9:35 – 9:45 pm: Head to bus and Smithfield High School
10:30 pm: Arrive at Smithfield High School
