Team AirBenders (Jaylen Marble, Liam Lutz, Katie Lutz, Emma Forbes, Kyle Nester, and Patrick Leslie) traveled to San Antonio, TX, to compete in the 7th Annual National KidWind Challenge. Our SHS team brought home the High School Division Innovation Award for their unique wind turbine that included a geared 1-phase alternator/generator and unique airfoil turbine blades. The team also caught the attention of the judges with their work on a 3-phase generator and their big plans for their 2023 turbine!
