Biography

I have been teaching Driver Education, Health and Physical Education at Smithfield High School since 2002.  I have a passion for teaching students to drive safely and to understand the risks that are involved with operating a motor vehicle. I am the head coach for the varsity softball team which has won championships in 2003, 2004, 2009, 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2017.

I graduated from Christopher Newport University in 1997 with a bachelor of science in fitness management.  I played softball at CNU from 1993 - 1996.  During that time, our team won the Dixie Conference Championship 3 times and advanced to the NCAA Regional Playoffs two time.  My jersey (#14) was the first softball jersey to be retired at CNU and I was inducted into the athletic hall of fame in 2002.
