The SHS Robotics Team competes in the VA VEX Robotics Tournaments. The tournaments are two-minute matches in which two teams' robots compete in various game challenges. Team members will get experience with gaming strategy, coding, building and driving robots using a remote controller. Tournaments are on Saturdays and we compete against teams from all over Virginia. Our competition season runs October-April. Our planning/building season runs May-September. The robot can also be incorporated into a Fall Engineering III student's capstone project. Robotics teams are also considered part of the VHSL.
