In IWCS, we are fortunate to have a full time SRO in ALL schools--including elementary schools.

IWCS to Host Transition to Adulthood Series for Students with Disabilities

The first three sessions will consist of training regarding what it means to turn 18 as a student with a disability in Virginia, social security and Medicaid waivers, and financial decisions.

2024 Spring Sports Tryouts

A current VHSL physical dated after May 1, 2023, is required to try out for any Spring Sport - NO EXCEPTIONS. You must provide your own transportation to and from tryouts.

James river bridge

Update: School Schedule Changes due to JRB Closure

VDOT plans to conduct a second closure of the James River Bridge beginning in the early morning hours of February 2 until 5:00am on February 6. As a result, IWCS has announced that February 2, which is already a student holiday, will be a staff virtual workday. February 5 will also be a student holiday and a staff virtual workday.
