Isabella Meadows, a rising sophomore at Smithfield High School, was one of two students statewide recognized as finalists in the Virginia School Boards Association’s third annual Student Essay Contest.

Cade Franklin, a percussionist and rising senior at Smithfield High School, participated in the All-Virginia Concert Band during a three-day event in Richmond in April 2023 sponsored by the Virginia Band and Orchestra Directors’ Association.

The 2023 KidWind and KidWind Solar Challenge teams from Smithfield High (SHS) and Smithfield Middle (SMS) ended their season on a high note in May as they participated in the National KidWind Competition in Boulder, CO.

Congratulations to all Honor Roll students on your outstanding academic performance for the 4th quarter! Honor Roll Lists have been sent to the local papers and are posted on the IWCS website.

All IWCS Schools and Offices will be open 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Thursday. IWCS will return to regular hours on August 21, 2023.

Isle of Wight County Schools will recognize the state holiday on Monday, June 19, 2023.
