Athletics Update Isle of Wight County Schools will pause all athletic activities until January 19. During this time, the division will continue to monitor updates from the Virginia High School League (VHSL) that may impact athletic programs at both high schools. The pause will allow IWCS to review mitigation strategies and re-assess its plans. High schools will share information with student athletes and their parents as additional information is available.

Sports Practices Cancelled Dec. 14-15 Based on the new guidance that we received from the VHSL late Thursday evening, we are canceling practices for Monday and Tuesday. This will allow us time to assess the impact that the new restrictions may have on our student-athletes' participation in winter sports moving forward.
