Student Safety
Student Safety
Student safety remains a top priority in Isle of Wight County Schools. Our Administrators and Crisis Management team continue to review and update our safety procedures to keep the lines of communication open with all Parents and Staff.
We will continue to collaborate with law enforcement to ensure that our schools provide a safe environment for our children. In the event that an emergency occurs during school hours, please keep the following guidelines in mind:
-
Remain calm and ensure your own safety.
-
Do not come to the school to pick up your child unless notified to do so.
-
Do not call the school as this ties up the lines. Communication from the Principal and or School Division will be received as quickly as possible.
-
Tune in to the local radio stations, television stations and division website for the most updated information.
-
If you are aware of any potential safety issues that may impact any students or schools, please report it to the School Information Tipline by calling 757-357-0908.
-
All imminent dangers should be immediately reported via 911.
